Qideos.Online focuses on collections of YouTube videos, which can be viewed via playlists. Music videos predominate, but there are also playlists featuring documentaries and educational content. The site also offers users the option to switch to YouTube.
Qideos.Online is freely accessible without an account and will be further expanded with playlists.
Qideos.Online offers the option to share videos on the site or an entire playlist via a link. Qideos.Online only shows videos found on YouTube. Qideos.Online is not affiliated with YouTube but uses technologies provided by YouTube to create its own APIs, such as Qideos.Online. Qideos.Online will always remain free to access, in accordance with YouTube's rules for playing YouTube content.
Qideos.Online complies with YouTube's terms of use for the technologies YouTube offers for APIs like this website. This means that videos are displayed as they appear on YouTube. This includes advertisements, as well as blocks that appear with suggestions for follow-up videos on YouTube itself.
Work in progress
Qideos.Online's functionality is not yet fully developed. For example, registered users are being considered for creating their own playlists. They can then choose to make these playlists public or save them (temporarily or permanently) for their own use. Individual videos in a playlist can also be marked as public or private. When it becomes available, account users will have the option to disable the ticker bar on their own playlists or replace it with their own text for each video, such as a personal message or review.
At Qideos.Online, Qumup showcases one of the technologies it has developed with newly available AI support, which can also be easily integrated into other Drupal websites with additional or replacement playlists. Development work on Qideos.Online is currently at a virtual standstill to prioritize a further development of the concept in the form of a new website called "VidStance.com". More information about VidStance.com will follow.
